Unsolicited Collaborators…meet the team working with us!

Ashleigh Owens

“Misogyny…its a girl thing!

She makes theatre about things that keep her awake at 3 in the morning. It challenges misconceptions and stereotypes linked to her lived experiences and identity. Her work comments on societal norms and injustices, to encourage social change. It has a lot of heart and sends audiences on an emotional journey using music, cabaret, comedy and parody.

Ash is going to be one of the performers but don’t worry..she’ll steer this ship :)

Amber Buttery

“Did you know that the sport Golf stands for Gentleman Only Ladies Forbidden - what a corker right!”

Amber is a young neurodiverse director training at the Everyman and Playhouse. She comes from a working class background and prides herself on being an empathetic, energetic director with a big heart and sense of humour. She can’t wait to get started on this and feels very empowered that these skills of hers (that often don’t allow her to be taken seriously by the patriarchy) are being asked of her with this show!

We’ve been waiting for the right project to work with Amber and finally its here! She’s our Assistant Director and we can’t wait to work alongside her! All hands to the deck!

Grace Goulding

“How the heck do you put years of conditioning and manipulation into a short thought?”

Grace is an award winning Welsh Movement Director and Choreographer based in the North West creating regional, national and international work across dance, theatre, education and outreach. Grace is all about big hearted work that champions humanity. She creates open, authentic and inclusive spaces to encourage instinctive and brave choices. Throughout the COVID pandemic Grace focused on community and youth arts provision and creating and delivering her own International lockdown arts project: One Big Dance. She was a representative, and continues to advocate for freelance artists, on the National Freelance Taskforce, Freelance Futures and work with March for the Arts Liverpool. She is incredibly excited to join All Things Considered and the Unsolicited team. This project is close to Grace’s heart and she looks forward to contributing a mighty boot through the boys club ceiling.

Grace will be leading us in the movement and dance while we kick up a creative storm! She’s got some stuff to say to, so listen up!

Tash Dowd

“I'm a bartender on the side: if I had 50p for every time a male guest decided to 'educate' me on something I do a hundred times a day, I could probably retire!"

Tasha Dowd is a multi-instrumentalist Actor Musician based in Liverpool and Leeds. From Double Bass to Banjo, Tasha’s musical range is as eclectic as her experience on stage. Tasha studied at Leeds Conservatoire and has worked for the likes of Sky Atlantic, Leeds Playhouse and the Unity Theatre. With a strong Alto voice, Tasha has a background in Musical Theatre as well as writing her own original music and lyrics for stage.

Off-Stage, Tasha collaborates with theatre companies to compose and Musically Direct songs for their productions. With a heavy influence in folk, they’ve used their skills whilst working for grass-roots companies to tell stories about Climate Change, Class and Identity.

Tash will be creating some of the music for the piece and helping us whistle a creative tune as we sail!

Lady and the Dies

“because we’ve had enough of stupid men trying to tell us who The Strokes are.”

Lady and The Dies are an upcoming teenage, Liverpool based duo creating Electronic music that has a distinct sound, with a fresh but nostalgic feel. As of May 2022, they have released 3 singles (since March) that have been written, recorded, composed and produced entirely on their own in one of their bedrooms. The duo plan to expand their repertoire massively, play shows all around the UK, collaborating with other artists and becoming established in the music scene.

Delighted to be working with these young artists who will be creating a rather special moment. Grab your swimmers because we are going night swimming!

YOU!

We don’t know who you are yet, what you will bring or what you want to say about the misogyny but we can’t wait to meet you and get started on setting sail!
